TILLER, PEDALS AND PED DISC: KNOW WHICH INPUT IS STEERING

Contents

With a separate tiller axis, move it once after loading so Fenix recognises that arrangement. Test tiller and pedals independently. PED DISC separates pedal input from nosewheel steering for the control check; it is not the towing disconnect pin. The vendor describes separate-axis and shared-axis arrangements, which must not be confused. [76, Separate tiller axis; PED DISC function]

For a shared tiller/rudder axis, the vendor describes a hidden pull-tab clickspot that suppresses rudder movement while taxiing. Its control-check instructions require releasing that lockout before using PED DISC to check rudder travel. Verify which arrangement is active rather than assuming that a shared axis behaves like two independent controls. [76, Combined axis; pull-tab and control-check sequence]

The V3 release changelog states that TOGGLE WATER RUDDER now acts as a press-and-hold tiller-disconnect input. Use a momentary button and test both press and release. An old latching-toggle recipe is unsuitable for that V3 event: the simulator event name survives while the receiving aircraft behaviour has changed. [77, V3.0.0.7426 changelog; TOGGLE WATER RUDDER press-and-hold fix]
