PEDALS: MAP YAW AND TOE BRAKES SEPARATELY

Contents

1. Assign pedal yaw movement to Rudder Axis. Remove the joystick twist assignment to that function if pedals are to be the sole yaw source. Check left, right and centre in the input display. Use the actual response to decide whether the axis needs reversal. [63, Rudder: AXIS_RUDDER_SET; author-proposed one-source test]

2. Assign the left toe to Left Brake Axis and the right toe to Right Brake Axis. These are separate proportional inputs in the SDK. 3. Test each independently: feet released, partial pressure, full pressure, release. Confirm release removes the command instead of applying it. A reversed axis can otherwise command braking with a stationary foot. [68, AXIS_LEFT_BRAKE_SET and AXIS_RIGHT_BRAKE_SET]

4. Compare both sides in the device test panel. Confirm independent axis motion before returning to Fenix. Resolve combined-axis or connection-mode problems in the device layer first. Save the profile and record its actual axis names; they depend on the connection arrangement. [66, Testing pedals through the selected USB host]
