HARDWARE CALIBRATION AND REPRODUCIBLE TROUBLESHOOTING
On the ground, check sidestick, pedals, brakes, thrust levers, flaps and speedbrake against cockpit response. Resolve duplicated assignments and confirm the intended input range. A useful hardware baseline establishes what the aircraft is actually receiving, including when a device reconnects or a simulator profile changes.
Use the documented calibration facility through MCDU MENU, CONFIG and CONTROL CONFIG. Verify IDLE, CL, FLX/MCT, TOGA and reverse with the hardware you use. Reliable detent selection matters because the normal thrust procedures expect definite positions and corresponding engine-control requests. When investigating a problem, change one relevant item at a time and record build, variant, panel state and the input sequence. Preserve a working baseline. A reproducible observation gives much better evidence than a general impression that the aircraft felt different on the previous flight.
