FUEL: RECONCILE QUANTITY, DISTRIBUTION AND FEED
Reconcile actual fuel on board with the loading setup, OFP and MCDU entries. ECAM FUEL adds the distribution and system picture needed to understand how that quantity reaches the engines. An entered block-fuel value supports predictions; it does not perform the refuelling action. [32, PDF pp. 2–3] [26, PDF pp. 123–124]
The supplied A320 system chapter describes centre fuel and inner and outer wing tanks, including outer-to-inner transfer. Recognise that architecture on the displayed page and use the normal pump configuration for the loaded aircraft. Changing quantities need to be interpreted against the feed and transfer arrangement; every tank is not expected to decrease together. [32, PDF pp. 2–6]
The A321 uses a different transfer arrangement and jet pumps, with an additional transfer stage when ACTs are installed. Review its fuel page and actual option set when changing family member. Familiar switch positions from the A320 do not establish a correct A321 fuel configuration. [10, What's Included?] [9, ACT installation, control and transfer description]
